For over 80 years, Port Ship Service has provided reliable maritime transportation across the lower and upper Mississippi River. Family-owned and operated since 1945, our company supports six fully equipped stations, 23 U.S. Coast Guard-certified vessels, nine transport vehicles, and over 140 personnel—all working around the clock to serve vessels transiting the Port of New Orleans.

With six strategically located stations, we support a fleet of 23 U.S. Coast Guard-certified vessels, nine transport vehicles, and a dedicated team of over 140 personnel.

Each station is equipped with heavy-lift cranes, forklifts, and supply vessels capable of transporting up to 30 tons at speeds of 20 knots—ensuring rapid delivery of provisions, spare parts, anchors, gangways, man-lifts, and other essential equipment.
